Left for Dead by Pete Nelson

I picked up this book randomly on my way to advisement because I felt like reading a true story about survival. It has many very interesting stories bundled into one very quick read (185 pages).

Imagine being on the ship the USS Indianapolis cruising in the middle of the Pacific ocean and in the middle of World War II. One second you are enjoying the ocean breeze and the next you are being torpedoed by a Japanese submarine that you never picked up on your radar. You are forced into the water where you spend the next 4 days fighting off hunger pains, illusions of land, and great white sharks that are killing at will. A frightening account that you will not want to put down. Come to the library to check it out today!
