Libraries are adapting new technology everyday. When I was in middle school you had to search for a book using a card catalog (see image left). This meant you had to be at the library and understand how to use the card catalog, which usually turned into an all day event.Now, the card catalog has been put online and the latest technology is a virtual bookshelf that allows the user to walk up and down the aisles from the comfort of their home. You can even chat with a librarian online from your home computer! Students attending an IUSD school are lucky enough to be at the forefront of library technology with the adoption of Destiny Quest. Destiny Quest is accessible from the South Lake website or you can go through destiny.iusd.org > South Lake > Catalog > Destiny Quest.
