A Changing World

Welcome to Mr. Fratantaro's blog. I thought it would be best to kick it off with a discussion on what the future holds. This is especially pertinent considering that we recently held parent/student/teacher conferences regarding your futures. Watch this video called "Did you know?" by Carl Fisch. What will the world look like in 10 years? How will it be different? Share your thoughts by making a comment.

Mr. Frat just showed this video. I read a lot. I read the newspaper every day. I watch the news on TV. I listen to the radio news. And yet there were many things on this video that I really hadn't thought about in the perspective this video presented. I am going to think about what I just saw a great deal. I guess the one thing we can count on is change. I will be interested in reading what our students and parents have to say.

I'm not a kind of person who consider about the worlds future, I just enjoy never worrying about anything. This video tells me a story that i would never consider about. What will happen by the time I reach the age of 20?
It made me actually think about the changes that will happen to the world and how I will contribute to it.

I think that the U.S. has a constant use if technology that young people should not do like compters with 4 years old. And america will not have more people speaking english than china which is preety sad. Technology is overused in the united states.

wow I never knew that the world used sooo much information today. It's crazy how we want so much to make our lives easier but we actually destroy things around us like we wanted cars and now we have global warming! I have been slapped in the face on the amount of time ive wasted on the computer!!

I think that this video is telling us that technology is expanding every day. Some stuff takes us two years to double information and in four years it can double in 72 hours. This is surprising to see that we have such advanced technology.

It kind of hit me that so many people can be affected for not spaking English, not holdina a textbook, and dont even know what a computer can do, or even more, what a computer is. I haven't really thought about about all of the things this video has taught me. I'm grateful for all i have. I still plan to go to a good college, and to have a family, but all of that can change in a matter of a second. The economy went down 500 points in a matter of a day. It can fall 1,000 points in 2 days. You never now....

This video opened my eyes to see the how this new generation of technology has benefited the world and how it will continue to help out with education around the world. I now know exactly how superior this world has become in comparison to the past. It is very shocking to see the differrences in the Myspace users and Youtube users since it was first created.

This video really struck me with a lot of information. Knowing all this made me feel guilty and sad. I can't believe that only 1.3 million graduated college. China had the most AND they had more people who spoke english then America. This video was a sort of a "wake up call" to me. One thing that was kinda funny but it wasn't was that kids spent 10000 hours playing video games.

this was such a cool video! This shows that life is short and that things will always be changing. The video just brought me to reality about what was going and is going to happen to this world. The thing that scared me the most was that if myspace was a country it would be the eighth largest in the world. I always knew that a LOT of people used it but i never really thought about it like if it was a country. Life is really scary at times and there are hard times but life is totally worth it.

Okay, 70% of U.S. 4 year olds have used a computer?!?!?! SCARY. Because guess what? My 4 year old cousin goes on sesamestreet.com ALL THE TIME. Once she was watching a YouTube video of the Teletubbies. Apparantly, whoever posted it was a sick, twisted person, because it had curse words in it. She didn't know, neither did my sister, who was watching it with her. I heard music, walked in the room and screamed. Yeah, her mom doesn't let her go on the computer anymore.

I NEVER thought or heard about the future life in our world...
I think I didn't even think about it until today when I watched this video!!
This video made me think about the world in the future and realize how great our world is!!!
The first part of the video, about the babies and that there are 34 babies born in 8 seconds, it surprised me soooooooooo much that the video just dragged my attention to it!!
This video made me interested in the future life of the world from today...
